Dinner Dates – Points to Consider

So, you invited a person you like to a dinner date. You are excited and wait for the date with anticipation. Arranging a date, consider the following points:
• Make sure your dinner venue is relaxed and informal
• The restaurant should not be very expensive and luxurious, it won’t be the best way to show off
• Make sure you know the cuisine for the place and how well they cook there
• Make sure the food is good
• Lively atmosphere at the restaurant will be of great help
• Make sure you tip the waiter and never argue with him/her on a date
• Ensure you have booked a table in advance
• Never try to impress a person with wine and pretending you know much about wines unless you really know what you are talking about. Otherwise, you risk to look foolish
• If you don’t know your date’s likes and preferences, make sure the restaurant is not specialized
• Never order for your date, but you can make recommendations
• Make sure you don’t arrange a late date, unless it is convenient for both of you.
• Calm music and candlelight will help to create a romantic atmosphere
• Friday night will assure a more relaxed atmosphere than a Monday night
• A man always pays the whole bill at the restaurant, if a woman pays a half, then most probably, she will never appear again
• Ordering too much food will make you look greedy and if you don’t pay, your date will look like a free meal ticket
• Never order something that requires a linen around your neck on a first date, this kills passion
• Men should always help their lady with a coat, chair, open the door, etc.
• A woman should think of her safety and let her close people and friends know where and whom she is with
• Keep an eye-contact during your dinner; watch your gestures and give signs of good communication
• Though burping is a way to say ‘thanks’ after a meal in some countries, avoid doing this, unless you want to scare your date away
• Never leave your date not telling him/her you are leaving.
